On a typical day how do you wake up in the morning? Is it that you dread waking up to a new day with all the multiple things that you need to do throughout the day or are you excited and joyful and alive to a new day and all the new possibilities that this day is going to bring.
Its important for us to know that the first ten minutes when you wake up are actually the most important moments which completely impact the quality of the rest of your day. If you would wake up in the morning irritated you would notice that thats the kind of mood you would stay in for the rest of the day.
There are two amazing practices that I am going to share with you today that can make a huge difference in the way you begin your day and the way the rest of the day goes for you.
Practice#1: Don’t reach out to your phone, the first thing that you wake up in the morning. The idea is to take the first couple of minutes to just wake up and connect with yourself. Imagine what your day would be like if the first thing that you told yourself in the morning is that today is a going to be a beautiful day and todays day is going to be different from any other day that you have experienced before.
Practice#2: To spend a minute or two making gratitude statements. How would your day be if you spend a couple of minutes remembering how grateful you are for everything that you have. The family, the support system, the food on your table, the shelter over your head, and all the security you are enjoying. So today lets look at a couple of new practices that you would now like to use when you wake up first thing in the morning.
Because what you wake up with, lasts you through the day.
