“I am ANGRY! Now What?”
How are you coping with this emotion..?
We all experience different kind of emotions..and there are some emotions which are more challenging than the others. Today I would like to talk about ANGER. Anger by itself is not a problem..but what we DO with anger is what causes all the discomfort. There are two things are happen when are angry. Either we tend to SUPPRESS that emotion of anger or we tend to EXPRESS it in a way that may not be appropriate.
What happens when we suppress the anger? We just push it down..but does it go away? No, it doesn’t. It just comes out at some point or the other in probably a bigger form than what it was earlier. The second thing that we do is that we express it in a way that might hurt people around us..or we might actually express it to someone else than who is the source of that anger in the first place.
So today lets talk about some things that you could do, that can help you manage the anger better. The first thing for you to do is to OWN YOUR ANGER, and to know that it is your emotion and it has nothing to do with anybody else. The second thing for you to do is to ACCEPT that you are feeling angry, and not being judgemental about it whether it is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ to be angry. The third thing is for you to RELEASE it in a way that is constructive and that doesn’t hurt you are hurt anybody else around you.
